Review: Midori Spring Organic Ceremonial Matcha

I received this product for free to review. All opinions are my own based on my own experience with the product.
100% Organic and Kosher Certified Matcha Green Tea Powder
USDA Organic Certified, JAS Organic Certified, OU Kosher Certified, Vegan Certified

There are infinite health benefits when it comes to consuming Matcha. Some of the key health benefits:
  • Great energy boost without the jitters.
  • Reduces stress and improves mental alertness.
  • Increases metabolism and supports weight loss.
  • Boosts immune system and reduces inflammation.
  • Helps the body detox and cleanse harmful elements.
  • Research has shown that drinking Matcha can help prevent cardiovascular diseases,  decrease the risk of cancer, reducing arthritis, and so much more.

Matcha is a great energy booster due to the combination of caffeine and other natural properties but it does not give you the jitters compared to coffee or energy drinks because Matcha forms links with a variety of nutrients so that it enters the bloodstream in a time-released manner.
Matcha is also nutritiously superior to loose leaf green teas because you are consuming the entire leaf and not just the infusion. Research has found that Matcha contains over 100 times more EGCg than any other tea on the market.

You can add Midori Spring Emerald Class Matcha in: baked goods, smoothies, mixed drinks, raw treats, oatmeal, ice cream, yogurt and so much more! Use 1/2 tsp to 2 tbsp of Matcha (depending on recipe).

My opinion:
The first time I tasted Matcha was almost two years ago and I have been a fan ever since. Since then I have tasted Matcha from different companies and in different flavo
rs. The first Matcha green tea powder I ever tasted had a very strong green tea flavor that I loved to add to my orange juice. Midori Spring Organic Ceremonial Matcha is a little different because it has a lighter smoother flavor which is good when you use in recipes. Another thing that is different about Midori Spring Matcha is the packaging. All other Matcha products I have tasted came in a pouch and Midori Spring Matcha also comes in a pouch but it is inside a tin can. I love the can because it's cute but also because it is supposed to keep it fresh for longer.

From my experience different types of Matcha are good for different recipes. My favorite way to drink Midori Spring Matcha is in a tall glass of water with some honey and lemon added whenever I need a little extra energy. It's simple and it works for me plus I like the taste of Matcha so much more than most energy drinks. Even though Matcha has so many health benefits and I love it Matcha is not for everyone. My sister says it tastes weird my mom says it's good, it all depends on your taste preference.

The only thing that would make it better would be a little scoop/spoon and whisk like in this tea set!
